Now that Gentleman Raef has been kicked out of the Apprentice, there are only six candidates left.
Of those, Michael must surely be on borrowed time. He has been grilled in Sir Alan's boardroom more times than I've had job interviews. I can't see Lucinda staying the course either. She is great when she's doing what she wants to do but when she is put in a role she finds uncomfortable she often goes to pieces. I don't think either will be in the series for much linger.
Of those left, my money would be on Lee if there were a book on the outcome of the series, which, of course, there won't be because it has already been recorded. According to his profile, he is a recruitment sales manager, which probably means that he is one of those annoying people who phone you up every Friday asking if you have any vacancies or need any temps. However, I wouldn't hold that against him.
Apart from his hopeless presentation last week he has performed well throughout. Unfortunately, he made the cardinal error of allowing other people to interfere in the content of his speech less than an hour before he delivered it.
Have you ever tried to give a presentation someone else has written? It's almost guaranteed to come over as lifeless and flat. You can only deliver it with energy and conviction which, usually, Lee has in spades, if you are speaking from the heart. Poor Lee's designed-by-committee speech was never going to impress the ad men.
Next week, the team will be trying to sell sports cars. I'm betting on Lucinda being next in the taxi home.
